after examining the real scud it occurred to me most imitations are a bit too cylindrical--that the real scud has some vertical loft to the length of the body. So I began to think about ways to make the body taller but not wider. The purple dubbing isn't realistic. But purple is a hot color that's been working well for me in a variety of contexts.
