Type of Water: Freshwater
Species: Peacock Bass, Guapote
I did a hike in exploratory trip to a creek that opens into a lake near Miami, Florida. I didn't see a lot of fish at first but walked a bit more and found some pre-spawn peacock bass. The bigger fish ignored my flies but a few in the 1-3 lb range aggressively attacked my offerings. I also landed a couple of jaguar guapote, a cool looking exotic fish. I shot some video and it is on my YouTube channel: Jim Dussias
