Welcome to winter fishing in Florida. There are a lot of opportunities to catch fish here in Florida. Let’s start in Salt Water. The creeks and rivers are loaded with fish as most of them contain freshwater springs producing warm seventy two degree water allowing the fish a happy environment to eat and stay at the comfort zone they like. For instance fly fisherman can catch lots of mangrove snappers in all the rivers here on the Nature coast. Boaters with real shallow drafts boats can catch snook, redfish and sea trout deep in the back waters. Flats fishing, from shore to about ten miles out here on the Nature Coast, in the winter… is very hard to find fish, as the water temperature is not stable.
