Hope everybody's safe from covid-19 and back to fishing. We've been guiding lots and long days lately both in Biscayne Bay and Everglades National Park and the fishing was very good. Most days were windy and sight fishing was tough but knowing were to go, you can blind cast the usual spots and catch a lot of fish. We connected with lots of baby tarpon up to 30 lbs. , snook all sizes, slot size redfish and several bonefish in the 4-5 lb. range. We used mostly floating lines and floating with intermediate tips. The wind brought sea weed to shore so we used heavier flies that stay a foot under the surface that don't catch the floating weed. Mostly Clouser minnows size 2/0 (Thank you Bob Clouser for inventing the greatest saltwater fly ever)
On another note: we are expecting the mullet to arrive anytime soon and we'll have great tarpon and big jack action.
