Omori stream mouth

Night fishing! It's always exciting. A family trip south ment I got to stay in Taupo for the night and of course my fishing gear goes in the car first. There are stacks of fish waiting in the river/stream mouths for the rain to come thru so they can start moving up. I had the Omori stream mouth to myself for 3 hours and landed 12 browns and 4 rainbows in very good condition. 9 of the 15 were above 7lb an one went 10.5 lbs (yay double at last). All fish we caught on a dark fly on the very moonlit night. Sadly one of the hens was not going to make the release. I'm looking forward to the winter months as it's starting to look like it's going to be a cracker for both river and lake fishing. Hope to see you out there. Tight lines.
