Traful river on the first week of the 2013 season. The river depends greatly on quantity of water and temperature in order to carry the optimal number of fish. This is why the beginning of the season is always a good moment for it. Incredible gin clear water, the incredible structure of the river and the breathtaking landscapes all around, cannot but set this river, at one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. And if it was not enough, when the fish are in, you can seriously catch the fish of a lifetime. When you know these fish are in, 70% of the fishing is site fishing, the color of the water and the structure makes you explore the river bottom with an anticipation of that fish silhouette that may appear in between the currents. The problem of going for big fish is that the majority of the time they are not eating or and spook easily. Sometimes we will spend time on top of a spooked fish that sits paralyzed at the bottom just because he is so big! and if there is a chance that he will suddenly activate and take the 200th cast on it. Chances are that its not the day for that fish, and that if we left him and looked for a different one we would increase those chances. But human mind.........
Any ways this day was a gray one and the site fishing was not an option so we covered water, and covered water. As we all know while it is not the best light for pictures, you can get away from spooking as many fish as you would on a clear day. knowing where they sit helps too.
As you can see it was not a bad day and really just another day on this river.
