I change position on the hook, so that the post is horizontal, I insert Loop tool in the loop of the CDC hackle and, keeping it taut, wrap the rooster hackle around the post, moving with the loops towards the body of the fly.

Joint at the base of the post, I put the hook in the initial position.

I tie the hackle on the hook and cut the excess
