Step 1
I tie a foam strip on a hook grub.
Step 2
I tie near the foam strip a bunch of peacock herls.
Step 3
I wrap the peacock herls around the shank of the hook, up to half of its length.
Step 4
I backhand the foam strip over the peacock herls and tie it on the hook.
Step 5
I tie a CDC hackle on the hook.
Step 6
I wrap the CDC hackle around the strip of foam, tie it on the hook and cut the excess.
Step 7
I wrap the peacock herls around the hook, tie them near the eye and cut the surplus.
Step 8
I backhand the foam strip over the herls, tie it on the hook and cut surplus
Step 9
I do the final knot.
Step 10
I give shape to the wasp head with scissors and paint the fly with a marker.
