Aniak River Lodge offers a unique lodging experience with a lower lodge, an upper-river wilderness tent camp, and a brand new mid-river lodge. Each location adds to our diverse Alaska fishing program. Our lodge and tent camp accommodations offer the comforts of home amidst the wilderness of Alaska – providing all the amenities necessary to make your fishing trip an experience of a lifetime.

Your day starts when you are ready to get on the water. We access our fishing using jet boats. Fish from the boat, or get out and wade if you like. There are many braids to explore and smaller tributaries to fish. Your day will end with a marvelous dinner prepared by our chef. For the few nights spent at our tent camp, if you didn’t get your fill of fishing head back out after dinner. There is superb fishing to be had right from camp; no need to take off the waders to eat! Soak up that Alaska daylight, which is close to 24 hours a day during our summer season.
We encourage catch-and-release fishing at all times. In the event that you wish to pack your legal limit of salmon to take home, we can make that happen.
Upon your arrival in Aniak, you will be shuttled to our base lodge to meet the crew, and to enjoy some beverages and lunch. Guests can leisurely change into their waders while the crew prepares for the 25 mile trip up river to the new lodge, where you will spend the rest of the day fishing.
Enjoy a real Alaska wilderness experience without having to rough it! Our 5-star tent camp is about 40 miles upriver on the Aniak. A stay at the deluxe outpost can be the highlight of the week for our guests. In addition to hot/cold running water & excellent shower facilities; you’ll enjoy many other comforts of home. The main dining tent is a welcoming area to sit back and relax on plush couches to rehash the days catch. Here you will also find hot coffee, snacks, and a fridge full of cold sodas View more... for the taking, as well as, outlets for charging camera batteries. Didn’t get enough time outside in the land of the Midnight Sun? Head out to the fire ring for more fish stories, and bask in the view of wild Alaska from your comfortable adirondak chair. Camp also includes a drying tent for waders, jackets etc. Our individual Weather Port tents are outfitted with real beds and linens, carpets, heaters, and offer a wonderful place to rest your head after a day of incredible fishing.
We have a new lodge located mid-river up the Aniak. It consists of a new main lodge building complete with a gourmet kitchen and dining room, along with 7 new spacious guest cabins. Each cabin offers more amenities than ever before. Private bathrooms with hot running water, showers, vanities, flushable toilets, daylight sitting areas in the main lodge, are just a few of the great new additions.
We all know that many people have different tastes, and we try to accommodate our guests with variety and options. The meals at Aniak River Lodge are as hearty as the fish stories. We expect a lot from our Chef and hospitality staff. The breakfasts can include all the classics – bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, hash browns, etc. Lunch during your fishing day will consist of fresh caught fish, hot soup, deluxe sandwiches, or other warm items, prepared by your guide. Shore lunches often include grilled or pan-fried Salmon, potatoes, onions, an additional veggie, soda/water, cookies, or candy snacks. For dinner, our executive Chef will prepare a combination of various meats and seafood, including a special week-ending feast. We are happy to accommodate your special meal requests for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
