Patagonia destaca por la calidad y abundancia de sus aguas y además por ser un lugar prístino, lo que la aleja de cualquier tipo de contaminación. Hablamos de un lugar puro, en donde habitan especies de peces en ambientes remotos y de difícil acceso, por eso la experiencia de pescar en Patagonia es única y diferente a cualquier otra parte del mundo. En este ambiente se han desarrollado especies nobles para la práctica de la pesca con mosca, encontramos principalmente Salmo Trutta (Fario o Marrón), muy codiciada por los pescadores por sus llamativos colores. Trucha de arroyo o “Fontinalis”, escasa pero muy precioso ejemplar. También es posible encontrar truchas arco iris. Las grandes truchas migratorias “Sea run” marrones provenientes del mar y los gigantes salmones Chinook del rio Serrano, en pleno parque nacional Torres del Paine.

Fishing in Torres del Paine National Park
Rio Serrano located inside Torres del Paine National park, (one of the 8th wonder of the world) offer us an incomparable place to practice fly fishing. From mid-November till end of March Chinook Salmon are stable in this river.
Into the Wild’s guides will pick you up at your hotel and drive the 4x4 to the sore of the river to recover wading the best pools trying to caught the big monsters of river over 55 pounds Chinook Salmon and also chances to caught a very nice brown trout and Sea trout. The fishing gear could be big single handed rod or Spey double handed rod or spinning rod weather condition will be important for choosing a strategy.

El rio Serrano está ubicado dentro del Parque nacional Torres del Paine (octava maravilla del mundo) nos ofrece un incomparable escenario para practicar la pesca. Desde mediados de Noviembre hasta fines de Marzo salmones Chinook están en las aguas.
Los guías de Into the Wild te pasarán a buscar a tu hotel y manejando llegarán a las orillas de este rio para pescarlo vadeándolo y recorriendo sus mejores pozones. Los Chinook pueden alcanzar un peso sobre 30Kg, el rio siempre ofrece la oportunidad de pescar lindas truchas marrones y truchas de mar (Sea trout) las cuales entran con mucha fuerza del fiordo. El equipo va a depender de las condiciones climáticas y la experiencia de los pescadores. Cañas grandes de una mano con líneas Spey, cañas de dos manos Spey ó cañas tradicionales para llegar de mejor manera a los pozones.
A medio día disfrutaremos de un almuerzo a orillas del rio y con una de las mejores vistas que se puede tener a las montañas de Torres del Paine, acompañado de una fría cerveza, una copa de vino, un buen Whisky o un café bien caliente para poder analizar estrategias de pesca para la tarde. Luego de haber pescado la tarde, desarmaremos el equipo y nos dispondremos a regresar al hotel, siempre esperando que haya sido un día memorable de pesca.

Early in the morning our guide of Into the Wild Patagonia will pick you up from youtr hotel in Puerto Natales to drive ours 4x4 to the Penitente River. One of the best rivers in this area of Patagonia to caught nice brown trout. The river is perfect to practice fly fishing, clear could and slow water inserted in the grassy pampas. Brown trout could be 8 pounds and the average is 3 pounds of wild resident brown trout. This river will connect with Rubens River forming the Rio Gallegos that´s end in the Atlantic Ocean that give us an extraordinary option to caught sea brown trout in this fresh waters, that miracle could be in March and April.
After all morning wading the area we will stop for a nice lunch at the sore of the river and also rest with a incredible view of the estancia. We have View more...all the afternoon to keep enjoying this place.

Desde Natales saldremos temprano en la mañana nuestros guías te irán a buscar a tu hotel para dirigirnos al rio Penitente uno de los mejores lugares para pescar en esta zona de la Patagonia chilena, con un caudal ideal para practicar la pesca con mosca, de aguas frías, transparentes y de baja velocidad nos da un sinfín de alternativas para pescarlo. La principal especie de este rio es la trucha marrón o Fario, con un porte promedio de 1,5 kg, ejemplares pueden superar los 4 kg cabe mencionar que como este rio es afluente del rio Gallegos, terminando en el Océano Atlántico, lo cual nos da la opción de pescar lindas truchas marrones migratorias (searun brown trout) (Marzo- Abril). Into the wild cuenta con un acceso privado al rio. Luego de equiparnos, vadearemos el sector medio, almorzaremos a orillas del rio para poder descansar y apreciar la linda vista de la estancia.
Luego de un reponedor café seguiremos pescando este espectacular rio. Pregunta por la opción de hacer 2 o 3 días en diferentes secciones del rio, alojando en la estancia y viviendo la real experiencia de pescar en Patagonia.

A unique, magical and remote place. The contrasts between the yellow pampa with the rugged mountains and the majestic sky seem to be taken from a work of art. The solitude, the silence and the vastness are present in each step that one takes in this particular landscape, we will go deep into the mysterious Sierra to arrive at the end of the road where we will start our adventure, the farm ‘Las Cumbres’. From there we will start walking into the range and throw the pampas with many groups of Guanacos (Wild animals form here) till we arrive at a secret lagoon in the middle of nowhere with very nice brown trout. The magnificence of the fishing combined with the sublime of the landscape make your dreams come true. We will enjoy all day fishing around the lagoon and having lunch at the shor View more...e of this magical place. The lagoon is perfect for dry flies. Nice trout will take your flies from the surface. Also in the deeper part we can try with some streamers.
After fishing all the afternoon we wil star walking back the car.
If you like to skip the walking and arrive quickly to the lagoon we can rent a Can am UTV to get there for extra US120 total.
