The South-Easterly season is almost upon us as the wind direction slowly swings bringing cooler ocean currents and an increase in Bonefish numbers. It was a week of light winds, flat seas and incredible catches once again. The variety on offer never falters with GT’s, Triggerfish, Permit, Bluefin Trevally, Milkfish, Bonefish, Snapper and Sailfish all falling prey to the fly this week. Each fishing day exceeded the 100 Bonefish mark with 735 being caught and released for the 6 days of fishing St Francois. The highlight of the week was Adrian’s first Milkfish which he hooked, fought, landed and photographed on the flats. 3 weeks left in the season and no real sign of the South-Easterly trade winds.
Tight lines from the Alphonse team.
