Why The Pike
My journey for catching pike on the fly began 4 years ago when i decided to add it to my portfolio of guided trips I had to offer. At the time I didn't realize it would soon become my passion.
I now find these fish one of the most fun the UK has to offer. I think its the fact that firstly they are wild and in their natural territory doing what they do best and that is being the top dog in the under water world. They are also so energy charged that it makes them so fun. They have explosive takes and most of the time on the waters I fish with clients, catching pike is also a very visual experience with shoals of bait fish exploding from the water with pike hot on their tails back flipping through the air.
