Laxá (presthvammur)

I was lucky to guide a very nice guy for the 2nd year in a row. We started on the Mýrarkvísl on the after noon on the 3rd of july and ended there after the morning shift of the 5th of July. On the after noon on the 5th of july we moved to Presthvammur beat in Laxá in Aðaldalur. We ended our fishing there at 12:00 on the 7th of july. The fishing was amazing in both rivers. Most of our fish were on dry fly and that was what my guy was after. On Laxá we fished more on streamers and landed up to 18 brown trouts in 1 shift from 45-55 cm. We also got few on dry fly there as well. The fish in Mýrarkvísl was little bit smaller, from 38-45cm. We got nearly every single fish on dry fly and up to 12 browns per shift. It was a great trip and the fishing in both rivers have been fantastic.
