More Friends

Same good people in the other album, Fishing Friends. I just got confused and started another two albums the same......duh!
Hugh taking a break in a local hang out with a friend. Ahhhhhh seaside living Robby and I 2017, we fished together for the past 30+ years. We finally met up on the water. It was a good day of fishing but it was even better running into my old time friends. Shad season opened up with a bang this year. Big roe fish and plenty of action. Here are my buds from a day on the water...Capt Charlie, Doctor Jerry and Ricky Springsteen (inside joke) plus two old timers from 30 yeas ago. Jason Taylor....super fly tyer and it was great to spend a day fishing together. A custom tyed fly by Jason Taylor, a fellow Fly dreamers. A beautiful black hollow fly light as feather, a fantastic night fly. Thank you so much Jason, you are a the best. Surf fly casting. Len Handler inspired steelhead and trout fly. Len has a great SBS on this fly, I just gave it my interpretation. I do not tye freshwater flys much but this was so cool. Hugh at dusk in the early November surf on the hunt for stripers. Good friends Perry and Hugh taking a break from the surf fishing for false albacore. Charlie with his first American shad of the season. Good to see the bend in the rod on the first trip of the year. Cindy with a nice modified spey cast fishing an egg pattern for steelhead. Her first time out and she landed two bright chrome fish! Way to go Cindy!! My friend Hugh with a school bass take in heavy surf. They fight like 20lbs in that water! My friend Andrew with the Holly Grail of North East fishermen, a shore caught little tunny or false albacore! They come in fast and leave in a heartbeat...way to go Andrew. My friendCharlie with a nice summertime striper, shirts off and bluebird skies really not striper weather but we'll take it. Alan.....is a nice guy, Healing Waters volunteer and opera singer! Just kidding he can't sing a lick. Rickie....a hard fishing guy that is a gentleman and fun to be with. That's Charlie behind him, we all had a great day fishing. My close friend Hugh fishing on the second bar in the NJ surf. To his left is a deep trough that opens straight ahead and on his right is the open ocean.....stripers hunt and feed in tight. With all the big stripers heading south only the schoolies are left behind. They still fight like twice their size. Johnny in the foreground and Jerry in the back.....we use to slam huge stripers back in the day. My friend Charlie with one of 12 tarpon he had for the week off of the Atlantic side of FL. Hook removed and revived to swim again. Long time friend I call the Pond Doctor with a nice MA bass taken on a Clouser, 30 inches of fight. Jody and Pat on the river fishing for shad, Jody is on! Charlie with a good size buck shad. My grandson Josh with his first big fish a 12lb carp! He is 8 and a fisherman already, spinning rod first got him a fly set up already for this year. Charlie with a nice roe shad Johnny with a fat steelhead chrome fish Perry with a good size steelhead, his personal best. Johnny Payne had a super day on the beach, this is one of many for the day.
