Friend and fisherman Lauren Le Flanchec left Limay River Lodge today. During 6 straight days he averaged 50 fish a day, both rainbows and browns between 20 and 26 inches. All fishing was done with floating lines, mainly dry flies (attractors, parachute patterns, and caddis/sedge patterns) and also nymphs (copper Johns). 70% of the fishing was wading. 30% was from the boat (Lauren's choice). We had one windy afternoon (40 miles an hour) and 3 days of 25 miles an hour, however we always were able to find sheltered spots or spots with the wind at our backs, since due to the fact that the river is very braided most of the fishing was done by wading in side-channels. Rest of the time was windless. Here are some photos. Enjoy !!
